How cancellations and subscription refunds work.

This Policy applies to time-based paid subscriptions to Zaizen. It does not cover a credit or usage-based product; those terms will be published before such a product is sold.
Cancel a subscription
You may request cancellation through the account's cancellation control, if available, or by sending a request through Contact from the email address associated with your account. We will confirm receipt and tell you when the cancellation takes effect. We reserve the right to choose either of the following outcomes:
- Cancellation at period end. Your paid access continues until the current paid billing period ends, and the subscription does not renew. Because the full period remains available, there is no pro-rated refund for that period.
- Immediate cancellation. At our discretion, we may end paid access immediately and approve a time-based pro-rated refund of the unused portion of the current paid billing period.
If we approve a pro-rated refund for immediate cancellation, we calculate it as:
Refund = amount actually paid for the current subscription period × time remaining in that period ÷ total length of that period.
Time remaining is measured from receipt of a valid cancellation request or the successful in-product cancellation, rather than from a later internal processing step. The calculation is rounded to the smallest unit of the payment currency; applicable tax adjustments are handled according to law and shown in the refund confirmation. We do not refund the elapsed portion of a billing period. A discounted subscription uses the amount actually paid, not its undiscounted list price.
For example, if you paid $20 for a 30-day period and we approve immediate cancellation after 10 days, the time-based refund is $13.33, before any legally required tax adjustment.
Other refund cases and processing
If you are charged twice for the same period, or payment succeeds but we cannot activate the paid service, contact us so we can correct the charge or issue an appropriate full refund. We will explain the outcome if a refund request is disputed.
We aim to initiate approved refunds within seven business days of confirming the request. Refunds are normally returned to the original payment method through Razorpay; the time for the money to appear in your account depends on the payment method and financial institutions. We will share the refund status or reference when available.
